We at Donna and Cathy’s Dance Center in North Branford, Connecticut want you to enjoy your dancing classes. Here is a rundown of all our studio policies:
We require all students to pay an annual non-refundable registration fee. Our tuition is based on an annual rate and divided into nine equal payments. Payments are due the first lesson of each month. An additional $10 late fee will be given to any payment made after the tenth of the month.
A $25 fee will be added to all returned checks. You may place your payments in the tuition collection box located at the reception desk. Just indicate the name of the student on the check.
These closings are factored into tuition rates. Our studio is closed during the following dates:
In the event that the center closes due to inclement weather or your child misses a class, you are welcome to join any class on our regular schedule as a makeup. No refunds will be given.
Dancers are not allowed to arrive in the studio earlier than 15 minutes before class. Classes are dismissed on time and we expect that there will be rides home for all the students. We are not responsible for students once the class has ended.
All students are expected to wear dance attire and shoes to class. Female students have the option of wearing official Donna & Cathy's Dancewear or a one-piece dance leotard and Capezio Shimmery Suntan full-footed tights.
Hair must be up off of the neck and secured against the head. No hanging braids or ponytails. Wearing jewelry to class is prohibited. Street clothes, sweaters, pajama pants, and hoodies are also not allowed in class.
We showcase our students in an annual dance recital in May. There are no minimum or maximum numbers of recital tickets to buy, no reserved seating, and a long line for buying tickets early. It’s important to us that the recital is stress-free for our studio parents and fun for our dancers.
Our costume charges are very reasonable; each costume costs approximately $50 depending on the style, size, and age. You will receive a statement in November with the total due for costumes. We offer two installments to make it easier for you. The first installment is due December 1st, the balance is due January 10th.
