Donna and Cathy’s Dance Center in North Branford, Connecticut has been in the business for over 33 years. Here in our studio, we are one big dance family. Many students return years later to enroll their own children!
She is a professional dance instructor and the founder of The Donna Cacace Dance Studio back in 1984. Over the years her memberships have included BMI and ASCAP music authority, Dance Masters of America, and Professional Dance Teachers Association. Donna has been dancing for over 45 years and shares her love for dancing through the studio.
Aside from being a dance instructor, she also served as a judge for local talent shows and was part of the North Branford Expo Committee. She has trained with some well-known New York City professionals, such as Ann Reinking, Charles Kelley, and Sandahl Bergman. Many of her students grew up to became professional dancers and teachers.
Cathy is the daughter of Donna. She has been a dancer for over 29 years, and has won many dance awards and titles when she was a competitor. Today, she’s the director and choreographer-in-charge for our annual recitals. Cathy formed a holiday dance company that performs at rest homes and hospitals.
Cathy attends Tremaine Dance Conventions in New York City to keep up with the newest dance techniques. She shares her passion and experience in dancing to her students. Her philosophy is that every student should learn in an exciting and positive environment to bring out their passion for dance.
Joyce and Donna danced together during their student days. She joined the faculty in 1998 and shares her years of experience in classical ballet through her classes. Joyce has performed on cruise ships and with ballet companies and theaters around the world.
Susan was one of our first students when we opened in 1984. After dancing for many years, she took time off to start a family. She returned 12 years ago as a faculty member. Susan specializes in teaching pre-teen and teen classes.
Rebecca joined the faculty back in 2014. She has been dancing for over 18 years and always has a passion for teaching. High energy and fun dance moves make her hip-hop classes electrifying.
Alanna is a new member of our faculty. She is a Collegiate National Qualifier for Southern Connecticut State University and a level 9 National Champion since 2012.
Stephanie has been with us for over 20 years when she began as a student. She formally joined the faculty 10 years ago. Aside from teaching, she enjoys working on costumes and helping at the reception desk.
